Child Abuse Prevention

The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) asked GRC to be the lead agency in helping to reduce child abuse in the Antelope Valley.  Steve asked Bill Bennett to come on staff and coordinate the grant and be the project director.  As a result we have established a network of 45 partner agencies to provide real needs to families in the DCFS system.   We provide much needed furniture, clothing, beds, cribs, and appliances to many families in desperate need, as well as case management and mentoring services.
