New Toys & Books
Twice each year Grace Resource Center provides new toys and books to the needy children in the Antelope Valley.
Christmas in Julyis a special event at the Clear Chanel Stadium where our own Jet Hawks play. At this fundraiser every child that attends comes to our “Toy Tent” to pick out a new toy. Santa drops in from his summer vacation to throw the first pitch and visit with the kids. Teddy Bears and Beanie Babies and other soft toys are tossed to kids in the seats watching the game by our elves (in full costume).
A Graceful Christmasis another special event that takes place right here at Grace Resource Center. Our dining room facility is turned into a giant toy store, decorated beautifully for Christmas, by Santa and our elves, and every child is permitted to go through the store and pick out one toy. Live Christmas music is provided, including all our favorite Christmas hymns and popular Christmas songs. Christmas cookies and hot chocolate are provided in a festive atmosphere. Last year we gave out over a thousand toys! On December 17th this year from 2–4 p.m. this event will be held.
